In these difficult times we are committed to staying connected with our community. We can’t run events right now, so we are trialling an online initiative – The Members Lounge - a community hangout using Zoom every Wednesday from 10am to 1pm.
The hangout is for you to come and chat with other members – telling stories about how things are going for you; sharing funny internet memes; telling your mates where to get a reasonable price on hand sanitiser; discussing the 2020 footy season…
This is a hangout for you – our bereaved dads, their friends and family and supporters. We are used to being able to lean on our mates in difficult times and with the current social distancing and lockdown laws, this not easy. The Members Lounge may make it easier. If you have mates who you reckon would join in and they are not yet members, drop them a line and get them to sign up.
You can join the Members Lounge, stay as long as you want, and leave at any point during this time window – and you can use video, voice only or just type in the chat box. You can join from your computer, phone or tablet. The hangout is only available to members of our community and remember, you have total control over whether other members can access your contact details in the directory.
This is a trial, so we want your feedback. If you like the Members Lounge we can consider other times that may work for you – maybe evenings – just let us know. If this works for you, we could maybe keep it going after the pandemic is over.
